To the editor — What started off as a small fundraiser blossomed into something bigger than I expected. The idea was to raise funds for the Children’s Village expansion project by completing the Seattle to Portland bike race. The result was absolutely overwhelming with donations reaching over $8,500.
I want to thank those donors and thank Anne Caffery and her tremendous staff at The Memorial Foundation. This community may have some challenges, but some individuals choose to look beyond that and envision what this community’s full potential can be. Thank you for stepping up and supporting Children’s Village.
