Donald H. Carlton has been a friend of hospice for several years since his wife died ten years ago. Don believes hospice people are “caring people”. And he would know after serving as the primary caregiver for his wife for many years. A lifelong Yakima resident, Don worked at the family furniture store and then held a number of sales positions over the years. He began working with The Memorial Foundation when plans were developed for Cottage in the Meadow. He said he wanted to make a difference. He has done just that and has committed to honoring his wife’s memory by underwriting one of the patient suites at the Cottage in the Meadow. We salute Don for his vision, compassion and his legacy of giving!
