The Memorial Foundation is once again leading the effort to meet community need in healthcare. The demand for dementia and Alzheimer’s disease education is growing more urgent. It is predicted that these dreaded and misunderstood conditions will affect up to 16 million Americans by 2050*. Memorial Hospital and The Memorial Foundation are partnering with the Western and Central Washington chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association to present a community conference to bring together local agencies which provide services to dementia patients and their families.
This conference will be the first step in bringing information and resource availability to our community, leading to sustained outreach and continuing education and support for dementia patients, families, and caregivers. Because of your support, this November 4 conference at the Yakima Convention Center is offered at no charge to the general public, but please do pre-register for the Yakima Alzheimer’s Community Conference at http://www.alzwa.org/cms/yacc/
