Thank you for that human touch

Families who gather at the bedside to comfort someone in their last illness are dear to the hearts of our Memorial staff. And, the staff becomes quite dear to our patients and families. Tender, personal care is always delivered, no matter what. When the staff members ask, “What are your Mom’s hobbies?” “Does she like to travel?” and always in the present tense, it is a deeply meaningful acknowledgement that the family member may be in her last illness, but she IS STILL HERE WITH US and will be treated with the dignity she deserves. Thank you for that human touch. It is most appreciated.
