Memorial Hospital features women’s health expert at public event

YAKIMA – Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital is conducting a women’s health event on Friday, June 13, with a noted women’s health expert on hand to discuss hormones, nutrition, fitness and other topics.
Via Gibson has been in the health industry for more than 16 years and holds numerous health certifications. Known as “the nutrition chick,” Gibson enjoys a holistic lifestyle and is eager to help others live a better – healthier – life. She will offer four educational sessions in the Memorial Hospital Auditorium:
- 7:30 a.m.—8:30 a.m.
Are your hormones making you fat? Learn about the mystery of women’s hormones and how they affect every cell in your body!
- 10:00 a.m.—11:00 a.m.
Nutrition for you – Learn how to be healthy by using well-balanced nutritional habits, as opposed to calorie deprivation and harmful fad diets.
- 12:00 p.m.—1:00 p.m.
Lunch and learn
- 2:30 p.m.—3:30 p.m.
Exercise 101 – What you can do to maximize your results so you don’t waste time.
Participants are free to register for as many sessions as they would like to attend, and both men and women are welcome. There is no charge to participants.
